Tideland's high quality UV stabilized polyethylene and rotationally moulded buoys provide a rugged, lightweight buoy with exceptional station-keeping, long life and stability while reducing the long-term maintenance expense of floating aids to navigation. A colour pigment is blended into the polyethylene eliminating the need for painting.
Through a unique mould design and a controlled process, an increased thickness of polyethylene is formed at major stress points. Float sections are filled with polystyrene. The result is one solid piece of polystyrene free of all voids. This process prevents significant water ingress in the event of puncture and adds to the ruggedness of an already tough polyethylene float.
Mooring eyes are fitted with a stainless steel wear bushing (except WB-068 buoy). Buoys are available in red, green, yellow, white, black and orange. Optional self-adhesive reflective sheeting is used to provide international marking for day and night identification. The buoys are lightweight and easily deployed.
