GRP Towers

Tideland Signals GRP (glass reinforced plastic) towers are modular structures made of moulded sections with a colour-impregnated gel coat exterior and an unpolished interior. Colours are in accordance with IALA marking standards. The LT-10 and LT-15 can support lanterns or beacons with a range of over 22 nautical miles.

The towers can be installed in a wide variety of terrains with the LT-10 tower withstanding winds up to 201.17 kph (125 MPH) and the LT-15 tower withstanding winds up to 260 kph (161 MPH) when anchored to a reinforced concrete foundation mat that meets Tidelands approved design and construction. GRP towers feature a lightning rod system for protection of both tower and mounted equipment against lightning strikes.

The LT-10 and LT-15 GRP towers can support many types of aids to navigation, such as; Lights, Beacons, Racons and Solar Systems.
